You knew it was only a matter of time before the idea of Riggs and Murtaugh coming back to the big screen would be thrown around well it looks like it could be closer than you think. Read on to find out who has written a script and who is happy to come back. Comingsoon is reporting that Shane Black, who wrote the first film, has written a script for the fifth film which would see Riggs (Mel Gibson), who is about to retire, pull Murtaugh (Danny Glover) out of retirement to solve one final case. Both Gibson and Glover are said to be happy to return, but nothing has been signed yet.
With the recent Indy, Rambo and Die Hard sequels this isn't such a bad idea but lets hope that it will be bigger and better than number 4 - So are you guys up for a fifth Lethal Weapon?
